I went to PED to get my contact lenses. I've already told them I had worn contacts before and had my own prescription (which I got just 2 months ago) over the phone, but they performed an eye exam on me anyway without first informing me. That cost me $100, which was $20 more than the one I just had. Plus, they didn't do much except check if my eyes were fit for contacts. Anyhow, I managed to get my contact lenses 2 weeks later. Despite the PED eye exam, my left contacts were inaccurate and my vision was blurry when I saw with only my left eye open. I went back trying to change them. Then, the doc checked my eyes again (this time for free) and said the prescription was fine and the left lens I wore the first time might be defective. So, I didn't get to exchange any of my left contact lenses except the one I was wearing to the exam. All in all, PED services are not up to par. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

My daughter visits here for her prescriptions. I have found Dr.Loopecker to be very good with kids here. Time for another lens refill !

I have a bone to pick with Dr Loopeker. I think he's doing his patients a disservice by discontinuing his Eye Therapy. What a fantastic difference this made to my son who underwent this therapy with Dr Loopeker. Prior to this therapy, my son had so much difficulty reading an entire sentence without his eyes jumping from line to line. You can imagine how enormous a difference this made to his reading and you must remember that being able to follow letters and numbers is crucial in other subjects such as math and science. He went from being barely able to function at elementary school to getting an 85% average at one of the top highschools in the city. Of course we did other work too but the eye therapy made it all so much easier.

In addition, my son could never catch a ball prior the therapy and he was forever missing the ball and being hit by it but after the therapy his eye hand coordination was significantly better. Moreover, he could also hit the ball with a bat after this therapy.

I have refered several people to Dr Loopeker and they have all been severely disappointed to learn that he no longer practices in this area. I can only imagine that if Dr Loopeker is as good in this difficult and esoteric area, he's simply an amazing optometrist too.

I have been going here since highschool and have always had some form of terrible service. I gave up on having my eyes examined for the last 3 years because every time I would go to Pacific Eye they would either talk to me rudely (probably because I look younger than I am), force me to keep returning over a 2 month span for "contact lens fitting", or push their overly priced contacts on me.

One time they told me I'd have to return because they didn't have my prescription in store to do the contact lens fitting. But they never called me, so I called them 3 weeks later and they told me that it had come in 2 weeks ago. Thanks for calling to tell me - not. Then they would make me wear the contacts (which were blurry and irritated my eyes and so clearly weren't fitting properly) for 2 weeks, give me another set to test and I'd repeat this stupid cycle for 2 months before I could actually order any contacts.

Recently I booked an appointment to have my glasses and lens prescription updated. After the exam they only gave me my glasses prescription. When I returned to obtain my lens prescription they said they couldn't give it to me because they hadn't performed the contact lens fitting. They wanted me to pay extra, more than I would than if they had given me the fitting in the first place, to come back. I am not a doctor. I do not know that a contact lens fitting is mandatory for a contact lens prescription. If I express I want to update my contact lens prescription, ask for it to be updated, why would you not give me the exam necessary to accomplish that?

I spent almost an hour asking the clerk why they hadn't given me the proper exam while she rudely kept implying that somehow it all must be my fault. All they care about is making money. They could have offered me the lens fitting at the price I would have paid if they had done it the first time I went in. Instead they insisted that they had to charge me extra because it was a separate appointment. Apparently the whole thing being their fault means nothing.
